Preston Neighbourhood Watch AGM 08/05/2013

The 8th Annual General meeting of the Preston Neighbourhood Watch took place at St. Cuthberts Church, Lytham Rd. Preston on Wednesday the 8th May 2013.

The Meeting was opened at 7pm by the chairman Roger Baines MBE.
He started by welcoming all to the meeting.
The Treasurer Stuart Horrocks then gave his report and the constitution was then re-adopted.
Roger then thanked all of the committee for their hard work over the year and handed over to Sgt Helen Dixon for the Election of the committee for the next year. The following were elected :Malcolm Clifford, Irene May, June Dodd, Stuart Horrocks, Roger Baines MBE and Lisa Brownlow.
Roger then gave the following Chairmans Report:

"This year the committee and I have been working quite hard behind the scenes to keep neighbourhood watch running smoothly. We have had continued support from Stuart Greenhaulgh and Sgt Helen Dixon. And also from Chief inspector Tracie O’Gara from the senior management team at Central division. For this we are very grateful. I think it is important that because of the severe cut-back’s that Lancashire constabulary are having to make it is very important that we engage even more with our neighbourhood policing teams because they are going to need the support of organisation’s like ours even more than ever before.

We then had the first of our Presentations from the Armed Response followed by our second Presentation from Shaun Walton Lancashire Fire & Rescue.

Chief Inspector O’Gara from Lancashire Constabulary said a few words and then answered Questions.

Roger then thanked the Mayor and |Mayoress for attending and presented the mayoress with a bouquet of flowers.
Roger also thanked Claire May of May's solicitors for sponsoring the evening.
The Meeting was then closed and the hotpot enjoyed by all
