Volunteers at Broughton Police Office

Our prime objection is to man the Police Office at Broughton from Mondays to Fridays. This involves answering the phones, dealing with public callers, helping and communicating with the police officers and having access to the police computer system.

Other tasks include attending "Police and Community Together" (PACT) meetings, representing / supporting police officers at rural parish council meetings. Volunteers have an imput and help to distribute local newsletters.

They also have the opportunity to attend and help organise outside functions, all of which help to increase communication between the police and the public.

I am one of five volunteers at Broughton. We are currently recruiting at least three others but we need one or two more to ensure full coverage of the weekly rota.

If you are interested in helping your community please contact PC Chris Banks or PCSO David Reid on Preston 863390 Reay Mackay (Volunteer)
